In the webpage “Yeedi Vac Station review” from Tech Advisor (2021) reviews the technical specifications and functionalities of the Yeedi Vac Station. The Yeedi Vac Station includes a robot vacuum and a docking station. According to Cowton (2021), the size of the robot is 350mm and 77mm high, meaning it is not a problem getting into difficult and tighter spots. The robot vacuum is able to empty its 450ml internal dustbin into the 2.5L dust bag inside the docking station every time it returns to the dock for a charge. The robot vacuum is efficient as it is equipped with a motorised floor brush and a three-pronged side brush. The robot is also ideal for light mopping as it is fitted with a microfibre wash pad clipped underneath a 240ml removable water tank. The robot vacuum is also equipped with a motion-sensing camera used to identify and map out the rooms in the house. The robot can be commanded to clean specific rooms or the whole house with the application.


The Samsung Jet Bot plus designed and created by Samsung is better than the yeedi vac station in terms of its function and features. The Jet Bot has a better mapping and navigation system, a high-efficiency bush roll, self-cleaning grinder and a real-time tracking of the robot’s cleaning progress. With all these features in the Jet Bot, it makes cleaning a whole lot easier as compared to the yeedi vac station.

Firstly, the Samsung Jet Bot is fitted with a LiDar sensor, which is one of the most accurate scanning sensors in the market. It uses the LiDar sensor precision mapping system to perform a mapping run of the house on its first use. It can provide an accurate 360-degree scan over an area of 6 meters at 10 rotations per second. The Jet Bot will create a very detailed floorplan, with walls that are represented by sharp lines. As compared to the yeedi vac station, it has a built-in visual SLAM navigation system which is not as accurate at the LiDar sensor. As reviewed by TechAdvisor’s Cowton(2021), she stated ‘I set it to vacuum my kitchen, and it didn’t always cover all of the floor space’ and ‘This may be because it uses visual SLAM navigation rather than the more accurate LiDar navigation’. This proves that the LiDar sensor on the Jet Bot is much better than the visual SLAM navigation on the yeedi vac station.

Secondly, the Jet Bot comes with a set of high-efficiency bush roll and a self-cleaning grinder which makes cleaning more efficient and maintenance a lot easier for the user. The high-efficiency bush roll is made of soft woven textiles and antistatic silver threads which can reach into deeper crevices and carpets to pick up fine dust particles. Manufacturers have opted to use this brush roll as its soft and dense bristles are able to provide better contact with the uniformity of its surface, increasing the effectiveness of its suction, thus, helping the robot draw in smaller dust particles on hard flooring. As for the self-cleaning grinder, you will notice that after many cleaning runs done by the robot, eventually things like human and pet hair gets tangled on the cleaning brush of the robot. With the self-cleaning grinder, it will help to cut and shorten the hairs so that it can all be vacuumed up into the dustbin placed inside the robot. This also minimizes the maintenance done by the user which makes it a lot for user friendly as compared to the yeedi vac station.

Lastly, the SmartThings app that can be downloaded on your mobile device to control the functions of the robot is also able to provide you with real-time tracking of its cleaning progress. Which also means that if you are not at home, the Jet Bot is still able to get its job done autonomously. As it is carrying out its cleaning task, you can watch every movement the robot makes. The yeedi vac station also has an application to control the functions of the robot, however, there is no real-time updates provided. Without the updates, you will not be able to know if your robot is cleaning your house at the scheduled time or if it has done it’s cleaning job.

On the contrary, there are still some flaws on the Jet Bot compared to the yeedi vac station. Firstly, it would be that the Jet Bot does not have any mopping features while the yeedi vac station has. Which means that if you needed a robot that is able to mop as well, this might not be the robot for you, or you might have to purchase a second robot specifically for mopping. Secondly it would be that the Jet Bot is much taller in height as compared to the yeedi vac station. This makes the Jet Bot less accessible in certain areas such as under the beds and sofas.

In conclusion, the more advanced features like the LiDar sensor, the high-efficiency brush roll, the self-cleaning grinder and the ability to track your robots’ movements makes the Jet Bot far more superior in comparison with the yeedi vac station.
