Reflection on “The Soul of Communication”

After taking some time to read the excerpt, I fully understand and agree that effective communications play a very big part in our daily lives. Be it working, studying, or just communicating with my peers.

Effective communication does not only fall on leaders, but everyone that is working together towards a common goal. Having communications with another party means exchanging of information with one another. It forces us to start up our critical thinking engine to build up our thoughts on the topic so that we can ensure that the proper information is being brought across to the other party. Without good and effective communication skills, just like what was stated in the excerpt, companies, be it big or small, will face heavy consequences and one of them is risking large amounts of money which I feel is unnecessary.

So, to sum it all up, when we can communicate effectively, it allows us to think rationally and give valid reasoning to our opinions. This can minimize the chances of facing unwanted consequences.
