The webpage “Yeedi Vac Station review” from Tech Advisor (2021) reviews the technical specifications and functionalities of the Yeedi Vac Station. The Yeedi Vac Station includes a robot vacuum and a docking station. According to Cowton (2021), the size of the robot is 350mm and 77mm high, meaning it is not a problem getting into difficult and tighter spots. The robot vacuum is able to empty its 450ml internal dustbin into the 2.5L dust bag inside the docking station every time it returns to the dock for a charge. The robot vacuum is efficient as it is equipped with a motorised floor brush and a three-pronged side brush. The robot is also ideal for light mopping as it is fitted with a microfiber wash pad clipped underneath a 240ml removable water tank. The robot vacuum is also equipped with a motion-sensing camera used to identify and map out the rooms in the house. The robot can be commanded to clean specific rooms or the whole house with the application.

The Samsung Jet Bot plus designed and created by Samsung, displays the use of an advanced mapping and navigation system, a set of high-efficiency brush rolls and a self-cleaning grinder. With these features, it sets the Samsung Jet Bot plus an edge over the Yeedi Vac Station in terms of user-friendliness and cleaning efficiency.

The Samsung Jet Bot plus, equipped with an advanced mapping and navigation system also known as LiDar sensor, is one of the most accurate scanning sensors in the market. According to Samsung (n.d), it utilizes the LiDar sensor’s precision mapping system to perform a mapping run of the house on its first use. It provides an accurate 360-degree scan over an area of 6 meters at 10 rotations per second. The Samsung Jet Bot plus can create a very detailed floorplan, with walls that are represented by sharp lines (VAC HQ, 2022). Setting the Samsung Jet Bot plus and Yeedi Vac Station side by side, the Yeedi Vac Station carries a built-in visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation system which is not as precise as the LiDar sensor. As reviewed by TechAdvisor’s Cowton(2021), she mentioned that the Yeedi Vac Station is inconsistent in covering floor space and suspects that the use of visual SLAM navigation rather than the LiDar sensor is the likely cause of it.

The Samsung Jet Bot plus operates with a set of high-efficiency brush rolls made of soft woven textiles and antistatic silver threads. As mentioned by Samsung (n.d), this gives the Samsung Jet Bot plus the ability to reach into deeper crevices and carpets to remove fine dust particles. Vac HQ (2022) also states that manufacturers have decided to use this brush roll as softer and denser bristles provides better contact with the uniformity of its surface, improving the effectiveness of its suction, thus, increasing the efficiency of its cleaning on hard flooring. Comparing this to the Yeedi Vac Station, where it only has a pair of general side brush on the robot vacuum, the high efficiency brush rolls are far more capable in terms of thorough cleaning and vacuuming.

The Samsung Jet Bot plus is fitted with a self-cleaning grinder, which is useful for debris like human and pet hairs which gets tangled on the cleaning brush of the robot after many cleaning runs. As stated by Samsung (n.d), the help of a self-cleaning grinder will help to cut and shorten the hairs before being vacuumed into the dustbin located in the robot. In contrast with the Yeedi Vac Station, it does not house any form of hair cutter on the robot and additional maintenance has to be provided by the user to remove these kinds of debris, making it inconvenient as compared to the Samsung Jet Bot plus.  

With all these advantages, flaws are still inevitable on the Samsung Jet Bot plus. Firstly, it would be that the Samsung Jet Bot plus provides only vacuuming features while the Yeedi Vac Station has both mopping and vacuuming features. Secondly, the Samsung Jet Bot plus is taller in height as compared to the Yeedi Vac Station, which makes it less accessible in certain areas such as under the beds and sofas.

In conclusion, the Samsung Jet Bot plus is a powerful robotic device that is able to aid families that do not that the time to frequently clean their homes. Even though the Samsung Jet Bot plus do not have mopping capabilities and is slightly taller that the Yeedi Vac Station robot vacuum, key features like the LiDar sensor, the high-efficiency brush rolls and the self-cleaning grinder makes the Samsung Jet Bot far more superior in comparison with the Yeedi Vac Station.
